The final two movies made by late Glee actor Cory Monteith will both screen at this year's Toronto Film Festival.

Organisers previously announced the September event would host the premiere of All the Wrong Reasons, a Canadian ensemble drama in which Monteith appears as a department store manager.

Now McCanick, a US crime drama in which he plays a recently released convict, has been added to the line-up as well.

The 31-year-old died from a heroin and alcohol overdose on 13 July.

The Canadian actor was known to millions of Glee fans as singing high school student Finn Hudson in the hit TV musical comedy.

Shot last summer in Halifax, Nova Scotia, All the Wrong Reasons sees Monteith play James, a store manager whose wife is suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder.

The Philadelphia-shot McCanick, meanwhile, sees him cast as Simon Weeks, a young man fresh out of jail and battling a drug problem.

The latter is one of a slew of new titles that have been added to the Toronto line-up ahead of this year's event, which runs from 5 to 15 September.

Others include Sunshine on Leith, a film version of a Proclaimers-inspired stage musical that was first staged in Dundee, Scotland, in 2007.

Peter Mullan and Jane Horrocks co-star in the movie, the second to be directed by actor turned film-maker Dexter Fletcher.

Another title receiving its world premiere is The Last of Robin Hood, in which Kevin Kline portrays flamboyant Hollywood legend Errol Flynn.

The US film is one of several titles on the Toronto schedule in which celebrated real-life figures are portrayed on screen.

Films about Julian Assange, Jimi Hendrix, Nelson Mandela and race driver James Hunt will also be shown at this year's event.

So will The Armstrong Lie, a documentary about the disgraced cyclist Lance Armstrong by Oscar-winning film-maker Alex Gibney.

Begun in 2009 as a film about Armstrong's cycling comeback, the project was shelved after its subject was accused of taking banned substances and re-opened after his public confession.
