Miley Cyrus has been hospitalised after suffering a severe allergic reaction to antibiotics, according to a spokesperson.
The Wrecking Ball singer was forced to cancel a concert in Kansas City, Missouri on Tuesday evening after being taken to hospital.
The 21-year-old's publicist said that Cyrus had been advised to be on "medical rest" by her doctor.
Tickets for the concert at Sprint Center are being refunded.
Miley tweeted: "Kansas I promise I'm as heartbroken as you are. I wanted so badly to be there tonight."
She added that not being able to do the show made her feel worse that she already did.
The singer also posted a photo of herself wearing what appears to be a hospital gown.
Miley Cyrus is currently on the North American leg of her Bangerz world tour, which will arrive in the UK on 6 May at London's O2 Arena.
Last month, the singer's tour bus was destroyed after it caught fire on an overnight journey between Houston to New Orleans.
Last year, the singer told Newsbeat she's "one of the biggest feminists" and that her controversial on-stage persona and revealing outfits were all part of her act.
